High School of Glasgow

This is the main instrumental concert of the school year and it promises to be a feast of great film music from the past three or four decades. 

The concert will feature the Senior Concert Band, the Jazz Band, the Senior Orchestra/String Orchestra, Percussion and Guitar Ensembles, and  smaller scale items which pupils have been preparing throughout the term.  Once again, the concert will be introduced by the Film Club, who will bring their own package of surprises, including the result of their film-making competition.

There will be a collection at the end of the evening to help fund the purchase of new instruments for the Music Department, with a contribution also to the Film Club’s choice of charity. Refreshments will be served at the interval and there might even be some popcorn and ice cream !
